lost the headlights, running lights, and front turn signals earlier had a HDLP Fault come up on the screen when it happened lasted for probably 45 minutes and then the lights came back on. Stopped for the night the lights were working, shut the truck off, went to turn it on a few hours later and lights aren't working and fault code is back. Restarted the truck and still no lights. Anyone else have this issue come up with the lights and code? Is it just a computer problem or maybe something a little deeper, wiring, harness? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

along the left frame rail at rear motor mount you will find a connector for the hood harness, the ground wire will melt inside the connector and the lights go out. cut the wire from the connector and splice it together. if you have an MX engine the connector is between the frame and the starter you can get to the connector without pulling the starter (kinda sorta)

Same problem has me on the side of the road, right now. Was the one answer the guy gave here helpful?

Thank you manasteel! That was exactly my problem. Idk what am mx engine is, but my plug was right beside the top of the turnbuckle at the rear of the driver side leaf spring. I saw your post, and thought, lemme check my battery cables cause they get loose very often, then found one ground lug on my fourth battery broken. I just knew that would cause a melting ground wire situation to get worse. Turned the lights on, wiggled that connector, and wahala!! Thanks so much.

Hey mannasteel, I got a new one for ya, if your still here?
2012 pete 386 clearance lights went out, yet the cab lights, and gauges stay on. 3 fault codes. Left front lamp/right rear lamp/marker lamp. I checked all fuses, relays, and even unplugged both headlamps at the bumper, and all 4 tail lamps at the rear loom. Faults remain. Still no clearance lamps.

This is the 3rd time this problem has happened. The 1st 2 times, I wiggled the wires under the fuse box under the hood, and they came back on. Today, in the daylight, that isnt working, I've also checked all the bulbs, and connectors that I could in the dark last night. Nothings working. Any ideas?
Oh, also, the blinkers all worked last night for some time, despite this problem, now the front left and right rear blinkers dont work.

You may be looking at a chassis node issue. Not sure where it is on a 386 but usually under the driver side front fender. Check your connections there and especially at the fuse box where you wiggled before
