My friend is selling his truck. It has 483k miles and still has a year and 2 months left on the warranty he bought with it. His company went belly up and he needs to get rid of it. The truck has a 450hp MaxForce with a 10 speed. Overall the truck is in very good condition. I was thinking about snatching it from him but not sure if thats a good idea with all the egr,def bs... All my trucks are older and I like tham that way but if I can get a good deal and put a good driver in this thing it might pay off.

Not much with the Maxforce engine. Too many problems.
-
I've seen some...same year/miles....around $30 thousand or so
-
If I could buy it for around 27k do you think it would be worth it? If nothing put a driver in it to make some money while still under warranty? I am kind of scared after reading more on the forum..

Just because it has a warranty doesn't mean it won't break down.
You got downtime, tow maybe, hotel and then a rental if you need to repower the load-and possibly lost loads. -
I would stay away from it. Way too many problems with the paccar motors. Maybe that truck is the reason you're friend is out of business.

Sounds good thanks guys

It's worth about 35 grand topps !!

Ive seen some priced lower than 30k with the same specs. Its the engine really that drops the value of the truck also the fact that theyve been in some trouble with the FEDS and the EPA. MHC in Joplin MO has a high number of of Internationals with that engine that are being sold for 30k but with 350k miles plus some warrenty.
