Hello, could someone help me out here. My rear inner drive tire blew up today and now a Code CA8 33 comes on when I'm stopped at a rest area or when I stop at the truck stop does not come on while driving... also my ABS light is solid since the tire incident.

You sure thats not 'CAB 33' ?

As for the ABS llight, check for missing/damaged cables on each of the wheels since a blow out is a pretty violent event.

I asked my driver couple of times and he says it is CA8.. but what could CAB 33 be anyways?

CAB 33 is a general cabin SAM fault, you need to get a more specific message by pushing the square button next to the display while the truck is stopped. It will go from daig to fault, it was hit or miss when I had a fault on mine, as to whether I could get it to display the specific fault code.

Just called the driver again and he says it is CA8 Code.... but it is "A fault 1" he says.

I think if he holds the button down while fault is displayed, then it will display the specific fault.

I don't think the message on his display has anything to do with the ABS though. Which is what I would be more worried about.

I had tire chains break and cut the ABS wire. I was able to just splice it with wire crimpers and tape. It would work for a year and I had to do it again. After four years I traded off the truck, never did replace that wire, just kept patching it.
So yours is probably cut from the tire. Try patching it first, if that works then you'll know and can replace the wire at your convenience. Assuming there is enough wire left to fix.

    MGM Thanks this.
