2012 Cascadia Sam cab problem

    Ok so my right front blinker is inop and ac having issues and other crazy things like switches and some lights blinking on and off. Main concern is engine brake is among these and of course the blinker is illegal. Temp hotwired the side marker 2 the front blinker so it works now and I'm legal. Going 2 just buy the part and install myself. Anyone undertaken this particular repair themselves. I know will need laptop 2 program afterwards. Any other suggestions or things I'm missing?

    Cascadia's used the have a problem with leaky windshields where water was running down the harness and getting into the SAM cab. When you replace it, make sure that the harness dips down, so if any water does get on the harness, it drips off the wires and does not make it into the SAM. It wouldn't hurt to put dielectric grease in the plugs to help combat moisture problems. There was a recall on early Cascadia's (2007 to 2011 or 12's) where they routed the harness lower and added a drip pan over it. Other than working in a tight place, it's a straight forward swap, but it will have to be programmed with Service Link.

    Ya mine wasn't in the recall range nor is the recall part compatible. It's like $275 compared to $1100. Shows ya how much factory makes on parts. Anytime a recall comes out they lower it 2 cost so they aren't paying dealer as much on all the claims
