So im looking for a MONEY truck. I don't really want an old one. I'm looking at 2011 International ProStar Cummins ISX 435HP With a 13 Speed. I think its 2.64 rears not 100% sure. The down side to this truck? NO APU but where im buying the truck from they don't promise the apu will even work.. Could i just get a Generator and buy a portable AC unit thing and that work good? Please give me insite...

The downside to that truck? It's a 2011 International ProStar Cummins. Seriously. I operated a half-dozen of them over a three year period. They were all Idealease lease/rentals. I would never buy one.

Sounds like my truck. I got it with 467k miles from Lone Mountain. I have been running hard for the past three months with out any big problems. Mine does have a diesel bunk heater, but the summer will be idling to stay cool. I did have to get the DPF baked and a slack adjuster replaced and a few other things on it, but she has been good to me so far. Just have a bank roll to take care of the truck and you should be fine. I like paying $1475 per month for a used truck and just fix it when it breaks, not $3440 for a new truck with a warranty that still doesn't pay my mortgage while it's getting "free" repairs in the shop!

An APU isn't just a convenience for you, it also means the truck has not been idled as much. That's important, especially with emissions engines. I would consider any 2011 a money truck, big money.

Yes bed is roomy. Prostars have really nice sleepers. Bed is 42 by 78 if I remember correctly.
