So when I try to activate the parked regen by holding for about 10 seconds it flashes but no regen response. 2009 International Transtar 8600 with 335K miles, Penske fleet truck maintained. Also, got a right side up yellow triangle with the warn engine message along with the Level 1 indicator, noticed a reduction in power then regained itself. Hotter than a hooker in church here in Texas.

If it flashes and goes out that means either the system has an active code that is preventing the regen, or something is still inhibiting the regen such as park brake not applied or cruise control activated.

Ok, so it is trying. Shut the engine right down, wait 5 mins, and restart and retry it.

Ive had it parked since 8am today, have an appt. tomorrow but, should I have the mechanic diagnose it to see what codes are first before assuming its a plugged DPF?

I had this cab and chassis converted to a dump truck, it was a Penske unit, and run it part time on my days off, im a firefighter working 24/48 so I don't run it everyday.

Unfortunately, seeing a mechanic is inevitable with these engines. They require a lot of tlc to keep on the road. Basically, problems don't go away, so yes you should see what going is on.

I had same problem with my 2011 prostar. Message on dashboard I was parked regeneration inhibited wich in this case means that something is preventing regeneration to start. Park aside, set the brake and put in neutral. Wiggle the clutch or brake little bit and push parked regeneration button for 2 seconds only. In my case computer was still thinking that couch was engaged so it didn't start the regeneration process. Hope that will help
