I have 2009 frieightliner cascadia with 700,000 miles parked it a year ago because the I had problems with it. The ecm box $3000 then I had replace the dpf canister cracked and freightliner wanted $5000 to replace it so i parked it. It's parked up in toledo, oh. I have been wanting to get it fixed but what scares me is the problems i was having with it. To get to the point does any know of a shop I can take it to that can fix it for a reasonable price certified dealers want $30000 for an in frame but explained to me there are ways around the emissions but they can't do it. I'm trying to go independent with the truck that I own but I need a legit repair shop that can work on my truck and get it road ready even if I need in frame. I know toledo is not far from detroit, mi I can have it towed but I didn't want to have it towed a long distance like down south where I live because I can use that money for repairs. Long story made does anyone know any repair shops in the general area.

My 09 cascadia was a problem child shop after shop until a great shop knew that the constant issues were a result of the engine harness which is a very common issue on early cascadia s

Why would you do an inframe when you don't know if it needs one?
Just because of the issues you have with emissions and so on does not mean it needs an inframe. -
Pittsburgh Power works on emissions and ecm tunes but they are not cheap. They claim they can find and fix problems other can't fix. They might be worth calling just for any info.

I have used Tiger in Romulus, Mi for my 2010 crapcadia. Not a bad shop, reasonably priced. Knowledgeable mechanics.

Your right I don't but when If I need one freightliner wants $30000 for one. The reason I parked it is because I had the emissions issues and hadn't even got to the big issues with the truck like the motor, transmission, or the rear end.. I'm wanting to go to landstar. I have a truck that's paid for but and it's a big one. I'm trying to see if I can get it fixed for a reasonable price. I could fix the dpf canister for $3000 to $5000 and other issues but I can't do it at freightliner prices. I tried to see if i could get a pre emission motor put in the truck but they can't do it they said they had to put in the same emissions motor. To get to the point I can fix the truck and get it back on the road but for how long? It's a gamble It's got a lot of miles eventually I would have to look at fixing the big things. I need a shop to do that but not for $30000. I've had a few drivers tell there ways around this and I don't have to spend that kind money to fix it but they can give me the name of the shop or where. I would feel more comfortable fixing it knowing I can take it to some that can fix it for a reasonable price and do it right.
