My truck runs good, we’ve reflashed our ecm, however, since then that we’ve taken it out to work it’ll turn off like if we turned the key, and while otr it does this. Antifreeze is fine so are the batteries I’m not sure what else it could be. If anyone knows about this please me out. Its a 2007 International 9400i with a Cummins ISX.

Any lights in the instrument panel coming on when it shuts down?

No, it’ll be driving smoothly then suddenly it’ll power off, we plugged in our computer and said it was losing power, so we traced the power wire from the battery and found that it was exposed and we fixed that, but it still powers off.

Ok, so is the whole truck shutting off, or just the engine? With the those codes you are likely losing battery power to the ecm. The ecm gets it own battery power from the batteries. Follow this harness really good, check the fuses too. Look for any signs of corrosion. Get the truck running, then follow this harness and wiggle it to try to induce the problem and hopefully find your bad spot. Don't forget the connector and wiring right at the ecm too.

. The whole truck shuts off, that’s what we’ve done, could it just be that the ecm isn’t good ?

The ecm only controls the engine. The engine ecm cannot turn off the rest of the truck. So you have main cab power feed or main ignition problem. I think the main power comes from the starter positive post, then runs over to the alternator and then up to the firewall on the right hand side, then inside to the copper bus bars in behind the breaker panel. Don't over look your ground cable connections. They are normally white in colour.

Okay, I just used my test light to check the ecm connector on the drivers side of the engine. However, I ran into a dilema when I discovered that each little prong that goes into the conector all have ground. I know that the ecm is losing power, we switched a burnt out lug on our battery, we switched the main power harness, and traced wires. What should I look into next ? Also, the ecm connector has both the main power wire and the optional power wire, while the power only has the main ground and not the optional. Why would the ecm only be receiving ground ?

The main power connector should have two red wires which are battery power all the time and one white wire which is main ground. If you have ground at the red wires, then something is connected backwards or wrong somewhere. You need to double check.
