Hello everybody, on my 2007 freightliner Coronado the blinkers stop blinking whenever I turn on my lights(marker only or marker and headlights). They work completely fine whenever the lights are not on. This is only bobtail, I haven’t tested it with a trailer (I will tomorrow). I’ve checked all the grounds and they all seem to be good. I’ve checked fuses and the relay and it’s fine. When my lights are on and I check the trailer pigtail voltage for blinkers it’s about 3 volts.

What else can I check and how can I solve this problem? Anybody have any idea?

Are there any combined signal and marker lights anywhere on this truck? If so try disconnecting them [remove the bulb if possible] and see what happens as it sounds to me like you have a bulb or wire that is shorted.

Yes. I’ve tried disconnecting every light one by one and I cannot seem to find the short. Today my right blinker worked for a short while and my left blinker was just not “blinking”. I literally didn’t do anything so I have no idea what’s happening.

Stupid question perhaps.....do your hazard light work?

I dont know the schematics of that particular truck but experience with other vehicles leads me to believe, and im making the assumption that this truck has some sort of light control module,....i would be looking at the connector pins for the light module and checking for corrosion or loose pins [sound like loose pins if they worked a bit today] as they are easy to tighten up.

    periodic Thanks this.
