2007 KW T6 with ### ISX engine. Have been getting the codes at the bottom.
First time, dealer replaced with a reman EGR valve.
Second time, two month later, found air filter plugged and replace EGR Diff pressure sensor.
Now, about two month later, getting the codes again. Temp, water pressure, oil all normal.
Any ideas? The codes come in pairs. This time around I was going to put in a EGR diff pressure sensor again and maybe a Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor, but just put them in myself and save labor cost.
Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation Differential Pressure
Engine #1
Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range - Moderately Severe Level
J1939 is 0/411/16
Engine #1
Recirculated Engine Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure
Data valid but above normal operational range (that is, engine overheating)
J1708 is 128/155

I just noticed this code show up a few days after the other two codes started showing up again. It's only appeared once:
Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation Differential Pressure
Engine #1
Voltage Above Normal, Or Shorted To High Source
J1939 is 0/411/3

Check those sensing tubes for carbon plugging and the venturi pipe and replace as needed.

+1 for what heavyd said. I had same problem last year turned out to be carbon build up on those tubes.

sounds like you need a EGR TuneUp., " Cummins ISX CM871 Technical discussion"http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/trucks-eighteen-wheelers-/222173-cummins-isx-cm871-technical-discussion.html
tallmon Thanks this. -
Something I recently found out also (whether true or not?) Just had the SECOND EGR cooler replaced on our 2012 ISX 600 with only 125,000 km's on that engine. But this last time a mechanic told me it is because the dealer he works for doesn't have a proper pump to purge all air out of the cooler after it is installed. He told me this leaves air pockets in the ends of the cooler and that cause it to overheat and fail.
Something to think about maybe?? -
