Well, driving style can easily account for that much of a loss in mileage or more.

Going 55 instead of 65 could save a bundle in fuel expence over a year.

1000 miles at 8 mpg would be 125 gallon, and that times $4 a gallon is $500

1000 miles at 10 mpg would be 100 gallon, and that times $4 a gallon is $400

$100 per 1000 miles is nothing to sneeze about!

Over 100,000 miles that's $10,000 for only 2 mpg better for just going the speed limit or less and no tickets!!!!!!!!!

10 is my goal MPG, I changed fuel filter, next will be air filter, If that doesn't work I'll have
    someone. look at it.

take some windex and spray all the connections on your intake fittings. If they are leaking, it should show as bubbles.

What's your tire pressure since winter hit?

winter fuel alone can cost you .7-.8 mpg

tires are 110 psi, i was wondering if getting a hood mounted wind deflector and side fairing would do any good ?

SLOW DOWN! Our sterling acterra gets over 10 mpg pulling 4 cars.. @55 mph, @70 mph it gets 4 mpg and @ 62 it gets 7-8 mpg.. you have to find the sweet spot.

As speed doubles, the power needed quadruples.

    My 91 F250 7.3 got****

    18 mpg @ 70 to 75 mph
    20 mpg @ 60 to 65 mph
    24 mpg @ 50 to 55 mph

Most of those rental type trucks were ordered under powered, what HP rating do you have, what do you weigh, it could just be that you are having to "push" the motor all the time, which will eat fuel, smaller motor doesn't ALWAYS mean better fuel mileage.

    The Challenger Thanks this.
