I bought a 01 379 the truck was obviously up north. Bottom line is the windshield frame, or whatever is called, is crumbling apart. I don't have a huck gun or a shop capable of doing this. Does anyone know a GOOD shop that can replace this and how much it would cost. In fact, I'm good with a shade tree mechanic as long as he is competent and does quality work.

Sometimes rust is worse than it looks. May just require a sandblast and respray.
Its going to be a major job. Its huck bolted from the inside, which means you'd probably have to gut and remove the entire dash to get the huck gun on the backside.shooter19802003 Thanks this. -
Ya, I checked it out. The frame is crap, no fixing it. I'm wondering if it won't be cheaper to buy a new cab?? IDK

I'm hoping some of the northern guys know of a good shop to get this done. Here in the south we don't worry about that too often
