We are buying a few cheaper trucks to run about 500 miles a day and I am not to familiar with these tractors. Will they pull a 43K load alright? Are they very reliable? Thanks for any info!

Some details would help! Motor hp? Trans? Rears ratio? Weight rating on rears and front axle

385 is a good little lite weight truck, but what cummins do you have? In 2000 it could be an M11 or an ISM, basically same small bore motor at 10.8 liters, could run from 280 to 425 HP.
Or do you have the N14 which is anywhere from 350 HP to 500 or so? -
These have the ISM in them says about 400HP most have 650-700K miles on them.

Good fuel mileage motor with decent power to weight ratio, anyone will work on them, parts readily available. HOWEVER at 700k depending on what they were used for and how they were maintained they are coming into rebuild territory. JMOCoyTransport Thanks this.
