I have a leaking shroeder valve on the low side ( service port). Freightliner do not sell the shroeder valve tool. I went to O' Reilly , Advance and Auto zone, and I couldn't find that tool to remove the bad valve stem . I tried using the valve stem removable tool and it didn't fit . Is this tool different from a tire's valve stem tool? Is the shroeder valve also different from a regular tire valve stem ?

AC Schrader valves use a larger tool than a tire valve. The cores can vary by style depending on the truck. Sometimes they sure can be stuck good and I have even broke many of the tools trying removal. Might just be further ahead to replace the line with the service port on it and be done.

I was able to drain mine down and then put a few drops of pag oil down in the valve and then worked it up and down a bit and then recharged it.
It’s been holding since March with zero leaks so far.henboy1 Thanks this. -

I purchase the tool, but I didn't change the Schrader valve. I also got some PG 100 and put around the Schrader valve. Let's see how it holds up
