Well tahokid and tinman are not just two disgruntled drivers with this company! this place is a joke the equipment especially over in the bulk the vision is pure junk it is held together with a hope and a prayer. Mthey have a few new trucks in the van division and those are just to impress the new breeds coming out of schools. you don't get any miles. you are treated like dirt. the shop does not fix nothing and when they do they just pieced it together light a candle and pray to God that it makes it back just one more trip. I was told myself just a few days ago that they are not concerned with drivers miles the only thing they are concerned with is getting the loads covered. I for one. can understand that from a business aspect but when the loads don't give drivers the mile. to make a decent living then why drive for them. and as far as the comments about somebody still working for them or just leaving them but have stayed so long and having a complaint about a company but still working for them. really shows ignorance. maybe we're not job hoppers like some of you. and there are no benefits here. the insurance sucks and out of 20 something years of driving a truck. I have never heard of $163 a week for family coverage health insurance. the only thing I can say is this place is a joke. oh I know. let me say it for you then why am I still here right? does it really matter? because regardless of what I say or tinman says or Taho kids says. there's always going to be somebody to come back with a smart comment. if you don't want to take these comments about this company as a warning. then at least for your own sake proceed with caution.

Well mrE, I see you are still there and Im glad you verify what Im saying is true. I know you also can verify the raise we didnt get after almost 8 years they told everyone we were going to get, and I know thats why everyone left. It was just a little longer for me, but over 200 drivers dont just up and leave like this from a Co. with approx. 500 trucks. And it was funny how after the went back on this misleading pay and benefit package to doing NOT ONE D@@MED THING! for the drivers, they started falling off like crazy... When you add all the crap weve pointed out about WSTL and add this MAJOR BS lie they brought down on us, its not to hard to see why anywhere but heres gotta be better.
Here it comes and I know Im not the only one wanting to know, but why are you still there? They say everyone has a reason, but I cant for the life of me think why your still there, and tell us how long have you been there?

A driver I know quit them in Meridian,MS because the steering wheel came off on him trying to get out of the TA.. His truck was 18 yrs old. He worked there a total of 9 months.

Oh and not to mention Wiley himself. Don't know if that ol' hillbilly still does but back in the day you would catch him showing up at the yard in his nice black SUV and get out wearing overalls and a straw hat. That goofy sob, I tell ya.

I first started here in late 2006 right out of driving school. I left in 2008 after seeing over 100 drivers brought in and told to clean out their trucks and get off the property. 2008 was a bad time for allot of Companies and at that time and I witnessed the worse side of this one.

I was one of the lower paid drivers at the time when drivers were being brought in that had topped out in their mileage pay and told to to clean out their units with no warning as to what was about to happen. They were inbound with loads going through or to Troy and once they hit the yard escorted out the gate with their belongings.

Most drivers that were terminated found or had a way home, but I remember about a dozen that didnt, and it was like an entrance to a Homeless Shelter when you went on and off the property. Some of these folks were there almost a week with no way to get home trying to sell everything they had to get a bus ticket home.

I bought a Inverter from a driver(paid far more than worth, followed my heart) and gave food to a few drivers as well as other drivers did there.
I remember seeing Wiley himself on that Black Suburban go out the gate and look at those guys as if they were the lowest form of life ever, and as he drove by me waiting to get in the yard on my unit he looked at me no different. It was a chilling thing to know how we were nothing to this guy. I would have atleast sent them through the house to make arrangements to turn the units in, but not here.

As for what has been said here in the starter thread I couldnt say on all them walking out.. But I do believe it. It was just a starting place then, and there was nothing worth staying for as far as benifits and such, so within 3 weeks after I seen the first driver outside that gate with no way home practically homeless I was gone and have never looked back.

Theres not been alot of things change there since youve left, atleast for the better anyway. This Co. is desperate right now and will absolutely do and say whatever to whomever to get drivers. Thats a real interesting comment that yes I heard about through the grape vine there, but didnt witness it. I guess you pretty much verify that and I bet if the tables were turned here as they are with that scumbag SRT, I would bet these people would be no different. Atleast you just got what you needed from them with your starting experience and moved on very smart thing on your part.

Yea it happened just like Buffalo Wing is saying on these drivers getting put off the property like that. Id never seen nothing like it before, but alot of us drivers did what we could for them to help and WSTL just broke it off in them deep. And yea, I believe WSTL would leave a driver in the middle of nowhere to rot like roadkill too if it happened to them like SRT. I thought WSTL was the Lowest form of Trucking, but I stand corrected there.

On a scale 1-1000, 1000 being the worse, SRT took 1000 and WSTL took 999.

Companies don't care how many walk out as long as they're making a profit.Companies do not have an open door policy in our favor. How often does companies defend drivers for isues with your dispatchers?Thiey take the easy way out and tell the drivers, you don't like it then quit.We are nothing but a stupid trk number and we are not allowed to speak our peace about anything.Just shut up and drive is the way drivers get treated.
