That's trucking in general. It always moves too fast. Even if you were in a different sector of trucking, and your 2nd load required you to go to NYC, you gotta do it. You'll be scared to death, but no needs to know that. Lol. You've vaulted yourself straight to heavy haul so the challenging stuff is going to come very quickly. You only getting better by getting in there and doing it. You'll be fine man. The others gave you great advice. Soak it all in.

When you're no longer at least a little scared of it is when you get dangerous. That they took you on as a new CDL and now they're asking you to go get doubles/triples to haul bigger more expensive stuff should be the biggest vote of confidence they can give you. Just my opinion.

The most common mistake is when you have a driver with experience go heavy haul and he hasn’t gotten rid of the “gotta go Gotta Go GOTTA GO” mentality. Too much of hurrying to read the permits and provisions, no trip planning and will blow a curfew, or get wedged in and stuck at a construction site, high center a RRXX, or hit a bridge…

…and get the biggest fine in automobile history.

im just trying to make it safe. Get off permit route? Not even fathomable.

Not sure what well paid heavy haul would be lol. Just trying to survive rn could care less about the pay.

Currently my checks have been 1100-1200 weekly by after doubles and triples endorsement and bigger loads I will get bonuses.

Just stick with it, the self accomplishment is all worth it. I was scared ****less when I was 25 and first hauled sulfuric acid, but it didn't stop me from doing it. You can only learn by doing it, just cross your T's and dot your I's

Another way to look at it is that you're getting paid...and paid pretty well for your level of experience...to learn. A lot of guys would take your job in a heart beat.
You'll make mistakes. Don't let them defeat you. Learn and move on.
Try not to be the lead story on the 5 o'clock news. ;)

Once again guys, thanks for all the support.

I was def in my head but I’m realizing how lucky this is and studying to get my endorsement as we speak.

appreciate helping with the confidence to just do it.
