Came across a sweet w900 and ended up buying it. There’s a lot of problems with it but it was ridiculously cheap and the engine is solid. It has the 12.7 series 60 in it. Couldn’t find a leak or anything. The cab though... I don’t even know where to begin. Everything is unmarked or has a switch that I can’t figure out what it does if anything at all. The entire smart steering wheel doesn’t work so no jakes or cruise control. Between this and the whole temperature module it looks like I’ll need will be my two biggest expenses.
Any tips, links, or info y’all can provide on parts I could use or to help the dash look or function better please let me know! Thanks! I haven’t cleaned it yet so it’s pretty dirty.

Here is another link to Raney's for a variety of Dask Kits that would help the look. I shop at Raneys for most of my parts. Not sure if that is what your looking for.. hope it helps

I bought this truck yesterday. So far I bought cleaning supplies but haven’t cleaned her yet. Power washed the motor and went over it with a mechanic friend to search for oil leaks and other things. He can’t start working on it until tomorrow. Im having him repaint the engine so it won’t attract DOT. I already went through 40ft of wire protection hose to make it cleaner. I also cannot get the clearance lights to come on. Tomorrow I’ll hit the dealer to look into the smart wheel and the temperature module. Also will drop off the couch cushions to a friend of mine who will reupholster then with new foam as well.

The problem with the hvac controls is probably just a broken housing $15-20 at Kenworth IIRC, all of the switches are separate. Some of the toggle switches are probably spares, I Have 5 spares in my 96 but I don’t have the easy reach dash or smart wheel.

Anyone know if a reverse light is required? Can’t seem to find an answer with google. Truck doesn’t even have a spot in the rear for a reverse light. Might have to buy a whole new back piece if a reverse light is in fact required.
