Look for hjualing ag stuff like tomatoes, nuts grains and so on. Lots of farming
Truck outfits over in Dixon, CA. Pepsi and Coke Love young drivers for store deivery driving. You won't be hualing fuel tankers or going interstate so do bother with that.

Not exactly Sacto area, but try Robinson Enterprises in Nevada City. I don't know if they're hiring, but you'd get lots of experience--logging, tankers, I think they pull 53-foot end dumps from the Nevada County transfer station down to Yuba County. You can look 'em up. Try Raleys and Nugget (hey, how local can you get? :)). Car haulers? Carriers in/around the Sacto port. Fleming foods? Safeway? Home Depot? Lowe's? BOL.

Plenty of agricultural work in the valley, too bad almond harvest is over.
