Hello, I was wondering if anyone (more than likely a O/O) had one of those Chrome Shop Mafia, or 12 Gauge Customs Twin Stick Shifter kits for our modern air transmissions. I'd be putting one on a 18 speed and am not quite sure if I want one, I'd like to see a little more information about them, or talk to someone who has the setup, or even see a video of someone going through the gears with one in a 18 or 13 speed. I'd hate to get the fancy, sure to be high dollar kit put in my truck just to find out I've ruined it wishing I'd have left it alone.

The kit is $528 and change, if you look it up it is a glorified air valve you do not actually get into the tranny. You might have to mess with it to get it to feel the way you want. Haven't run into anyone with it yet.

Buddy of mine had that and removed it when air valve started leaking. It was only for looks because it was just a shifter instead of high/low button.

Just when you thought two sticks were more than enough....there then was three. Wow. The guy in the video sure makes it look easy. Low, then splitting, taking it out of gear, then putting it back in for the high range, using the skull splitter.....too much commotion for me. I'll stick to one stick, though I would like to drive a two stick for fun.

IMHO I would have no desire to go back in time thirty five or forty years to the two stick transmissions, the new air splitter transmissions were such an improvement. I think back to when we had the manual four by four transmissions in the cabover tractors with the linkage slop, and all the irritations, or the two stick Mack trucks, and as well the trucks that had two completely seperate transmissions to accomplish this. No Thanks.

That's a lot of money for a 3 foot tall pneumatic toggle switch disguised as a real gear change lever.

BTW how are these illegal? They are "Outlaw" right?
