    Hi
I’m puzzled with this truck. Really need some one who’s a Freightliner tech and has direct from Freightliner info.

-Won’t go into gear. Display turn on, it reads DNR but won’t actually engage into D or R
-Hazard lights flash upon turning on the disconnect switch, hazard Switch is off and the instrument cluster isn’t showing the lights on either
-says parking not engaged on dash with chime
    - DEF reads full then goes empty
-voltage reading not working just has - -
-oil pressure gauge sweeps to random spots then goes to zero

    Have code 2071

already checked all fuses and Swapped out chassis controller.

took various voltage, ground and can wiring checks with what info I have and everything is checking out so far.

    vin is 1FVHCYCY8HHJC7330

There should be three fuse boxes near the left front fender. There is a heavy wire that
comes from a maxi fuse near the batteries that supplies them with power.
That heavy wire has a splice about 18" from the fuse boxes that connects
three wires to the heavy cable that feeds the three fuse boxes. That splice is
shrink tubed but there is a spot where moisture can get into the splice by
going between the three wires. I have cut a few open to find a green corroded
    mess.
Try load testing the stud where the power cable connects to the fuse boxes. I use a
headlight with both filaments hi and low connected and see how much the voltage drops
at the fuse box supply with a multimeter.

    MadScientist Thanks this.
