I'm thinking about getting a bunk heater. Thermo King of Greensboro, Nc is asking 1600 out the door price (includes installation). Is that a fair price? Also, they have used APU's. I was told they will be replacing belts and hoses and changing the oil and filters. $6200 tax not included. Im thinking about going with the bunk heater. I don't idle as much in the summer.

    Wajid8705 Thanks this.

That price might be a bit high, but proper installation is key with these things. If you don't idle in the summer, just stick with a bunk heater.

Do they make any 110v diesel fired bunk heaters that you can run off an outlet?

A buddy of mine uses a little portable propane heater. I prefer the Espar. Now all I need is a generator.

I've got two trucks. One has a espar d2 and other has webasto airtop 2000.
The webasto has givin me 0 issues and espar has been temperamental
i also like the way the webasto operates better over the espar. If I had a choice it would be a airtop 2000.

also if u get a bunk heater , make sure you get the digital controller. Waaaay nicer !!
