Can you use a 14 liter ECM on a 12.7 engine for test purposes only? Both are DDEC 5 and EGR engines.

If they're both DDEC 5 engines it should run off it with no problems. It might not be set up for that truck though so things like throttle and cruise control might not work

I didn't know if there was any timing differences. I called WW Williams and 2 people I spoke to didn't even know there were 12.7 EGR motors. SMH

Most places you go, they either don't know that there was a 12.7 EGR engine or they don't know there was a 14 pre-EGR engine...or both.

    Smellfunny and Peterbiltt Thank this.
