Just got turned away at a shipper for not having a van with 102" inside width. I got asking around and no one seems to think anyone makes a dry van with this width, can anyone point me to one?

There ain't no such thing!

102" is outside, only thing close to that is a plate van, but 101" is about it for inside. 102" outside makes reefers with a full 96" inside possible.
-
My guess is the trailer you had/brought there was 96 inches wide (outside) and they wanted a 102 trailer (measured from the outside). There is quite a bit of difference in how things fit between the two.
-
No, my trailer is 102" outside. The description for the load said '102" trailer needed', so I went ahead and accepted it and then got to deal with this guy. Then the agent on the load says "Don't you even know your own equipment?" lol

You should have told the idiot that there is no such thing as a 102" inside width van! Then you should have asked him...What's the matter? don't you know anything about the equipment that is available? Maybe he should have loaded it on a flatbed with tarps 'cause that's the only way he's gonna get a 102" wide load moved!

never herd of 102"

If the load is light you can pin wheel skids and get extra ones in when you're hauling empty cans. -
101.5 inside width most plate trailers
