That just depends on the truck. I have an 05 379EX. AM/FM/SAT are all from factory antenna in center of roof to factory Pete Concert Class radio. I had dual whips but now use one Predator 2 loop beer can style. Outperforms the 2 separate ones I had. I use the other for TV now. Works pretty well. Also have ground plane Wilson for Cell/WiFi on that side. Some guys we run with have totally different setups. Mine is what I have messed with and works for me. I don't watch too much TV. I could do without it. An addicted to XM/Sirius radio though. Always something on there I will listen to. And CB is another that I could live without if not required to talk to sand pushers/lead drivers/scale houses/etc. So many punks on there all the time. My squelch stays about 9/10s most of the time. lol But I had it set up by guy who does several of the oil/frac companies we work for. Will talk/receive well over long distance. Well that's what works for me at this time. Sure you will get lots of similar and totally different setups.

I have an '05 379 and the factory set-up uses both mirror whips for CB and AM/FM. There is an aluminum converter box in the overhead console behind the stereo that each antenna connects to. There are two coaxial cables coming out of the box. One goes to the am/fm, the other goes to the CB. There are no other antennas on the truck from the factory other than the mirror whips. I don't know if this was a factory standard or an owner specification. I don't run my CB through it. I have since replaced the factory coax with new stuff for the CB. I left the am/fm running to the box but don't have any antennas connected to it. I don't get very good reception with am/fm. My truck was originally ordered with a clean roof. No antennas, no horns. Just bullet lights. The thing about Petes, is there are no two alike. They are all ordered custom either dealer specs or owner specs.

Hey 508, you can do like we did with my buddies 379, you can buy Coax that hooks to a regular CB antenna and has the male end for going into the back of your stereo on the other end.
We ran new coax with the removable end through the mirror brackets like factory coax for his CB and we ran the other side through for his radio and ran it directly to the back of his radio deleting that junction box type deal up in the roof.
That will get you your good reception on your stereo again. -

How much of a problem was it running the coax back through the mirror brackets? Did you run it the same as factory except for going through the junction box?
I'm in an 07 379eh and pretty sure the coax is bad. Even if it's not I'm about to mount my old galaxy 99v and texas star skeleton (2 2290's) so will definitely be going with new coax and antennas.
Thanks in advance -
