I have a 06 MXS that dose the same thing, the chirping noise starts off when jake is on after that it starts doing it under acceleration after a few weeks it dose it all the time. I go to the cat house 2 sometimes 3 times a year to have it fixed. On my engine the chirping always turns out to be between the turbo & manifold. Cat has filed the manifold, replaced the manifold, replaced turbo. It's a constant battle, so far all under warranty. I'm tired of the hassle so next month I'm getting PDI single turbo, manifold, jake spacers, timing sensor, ECM & electrical.

yea large steel pipe seen them pull threads out of the air box behind the fuel filter and check the rubbur hose i'd say it's your problem check around the clamps on it

Another problem area is the "air box itself". I haven't taken it apart yet, but a CAT tech told me that the air box holds a reed valve and that they have had many problems with this design.

Coalhauler, sorry I took so long to reply. performancedieselinc.com, they are in St. George, UT. Give them a call & talk to Shawn, he will give you the skinny on how to make the ACERT into a good motor. I am very happy with mine.

    coalhauler625 Thanks this.
