05 Cummins ISM Problems

    Looking for a bit of help. I have an 05 Cummins ism when pulling a hill at 70 mph you drop down to 55 or less mph loaded or empty. Also truck shakes in when on the gas particularly in high gears. Also shakes like it's missing or something when idling. Anyone with any ideas on where to start would be be greatly appreciated!!

    Get cummins Insite hooked up to it and do an injector cut out test. Sounds like a dead injector for sure.

    Not at all funny, it will only throw a code if the solenoid on the injector or the wiring to the injector has a problem. If the mechanical part of the injector fails it will not produce a code at all, I have replaced tons on n14 and m11 engines that never produced a code.

    Thank you a bunch that's what the problem was. Number 6 injector bad. They did cut out test it made no difference in operation of engine when they did that one, replaced it and she running like a sewing machine again... Again thanks
