I need to remove the right side fuel tank from my 9400i to repair a leak. The tank to be removed has the fuel level float. This should be a straight foward task? But before I start it, is there anything you think I may need to know prior to starting this task?

    Thanks

If you don't take ALL the fuel out it will be a pain to handle

Do you think I need to empty both tanks to prevent it trying to equalize?

If it has a bottom equalizer hose then yes. Or pinch it some how. If its on top don't worry

Run most of the fuel out then park on hill with the good tank to the low side. Let it set awhile. Pull the lines off the bad tank and plug them with proper plug/cap. Then you can still drive the truck if you need to move it. Like lester said drain all the fuel cause even a gallon of fuel going from 1 side of the tank to the other is more than you want to try and hold on to.
