Are there any truck driving schools that accept felons or sex offenders?

Some will and will require you to get a pre-hire letter from a trucking company before they take your tuition money. Find a cheap 160 hour cdl school and have a chat with them.
Also, the WIOA program in your state may pay the entire amount of cdl school once you get the pre-hire letter. Google: WIOA Program (your state) for more information.
Which state do you live in; maybe get some leads on companies from drivers on this forum.

 

Don't sex offenders have major travel restrictions placed on them?

 

A lot will take felons, placing them with a company who will give them a job is another thing. But they will train you.

Sex offenders, that’d be a case by case basis I’d assume. Would think a crime against an adult would be preferred over a child and would depend on the specifics.

Some listed as sex offenders were busted taking a leak and somebody saw it and some think that is sex. fools, when you have to go sometimes we have no choice or sit in the stew, also some went the route of what we were taught from a early age..be fruitfull and multiply. If it is a adult preying on the young that is just plain sick, but some made a mistake and that will follow them forever.

 

People that are on their state registry are. I'm sure somewhere there is an exception but in general a sex offender on the registry must get an OK from a place before they can enter. I understand NC is one. One of my neighbors is on the VA registry. 2 counts of Rape. He can't enter NC legally.
