We are sitting at North Bend WA with a load of Chicken Pot Pies, apparently Fred Myer at Puyallup only lets you park there 15-30 minutes early and we don't deliver until 2:00am then we will head back to Prosser to pick up a load to go to Schreiber Missouri, not bad miles.
The dogs are going ok as truck dogs well sorta ok, they don't like to sleep on there bed they like our bed much better lol.
The Pete is doing around 5.8-62 mpg, not to bad considering it only has 3000 miles on it, I am hoping it improves as it gets a few more miles.
    Well enough BS for tonight.

Usually your fuel mileage will improve by 100k.
It is tight so needs to wear some. Hopefully it will get up closer to 7. That will be a big jump though. Want to make money on that fuel surcharge, not loose it.

And, Yup I am hanging next to old Dome. Hot as heck. Truck not in shop yet.
I hope it gets better tomarrow. Will meet with fleet manager in the morning to try and work out the mileage thing. And to discuss the new idle policy. We will have to pay for the fuel, for any fuel over 30% idle usage. I will let him know that I will do my best, but the first time I am charged I will be looking for a new company.

They refuse to take any responsibility for the idle on the trucks, though they are the ones causing you to sit more than 10 hours a day. It is a joke of a policy.
It is illegal for a dog to be left in a non air conditioned truck or car in the heat. But it is ok and company policy for the driver to be in those conditions.

    The Challenger Thanks this.

Hope your trip to the shop is better than mine was. Had to get a new power steering pump, and in the end we sat for 7 days while it was checked, ordered, waited on, and installed.

I don't like the new fuel policy. I had to ask what happens when a team goes over their idle. I don't trust them to split it like Carl claimed, they can't get detention pay right, so I'm imagining I'll get the ding for over idle too... We're starting to look at other place; I don't really want to, but I also don't trust how things are going.

    Its funny you mention that.

One day we were waiting in the Conley yard and decided to walk down there just to stretch the legs a little bit. There were two HUGE cardboard signs and they said,

ANY SIMON(CENTRAL) EQUIPMENT PARKED HERE AND THE DRIVER WILL BE FIRED ON THE SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny thing is that we couldn't figure out if Central put up the signs or if the bar put them up.

several companies in that area have that policy. it's just not a good area with the prostition and drugs in that area. right around the corner is infamous to find stolen cars that have been stripped. it's funny how it's right by the junk yard.
