From my teenage years I remember that as long as the bulb was not directly visible and they didn't flash it was legal, I was even pulled over for speeding with red lights on underneath and they didn't say a word

In florida you can have ground effects (had some green neon under my ford explorer) as long as the bulbs aren't visible then you can run down the road with them on.

I know in a 4 wheeler you can't have blue, but on a rig I doubt they'd say anything to you about it. I've seen multiple trucks with blue, purple, red, everything in different places on the truck so I don't see it being a big deal.

If I had my own I'd have blue all around the undercarriage. I'd also have some under the trailer fenders to light up the wheels. That'd be cool.

I'm glad you've been able to skate by for as long as you have without being ticketed or told to switch them off. Arkansas has a balanced budget amendment to our state constitution, which prohibits the state from going into debt. Once the cost of Obamacare becomes the states responsibility after 2016, Arkansas will start caring about those little blue lights guaranteed. You think inspections are bad now. Just wait till then. Drivers will be avoiding this state like the plague.

They may not say anything to you, but if they want a reason to stop you, having the wrong color lights on is the first on the list.

I agree. I'd probably just run red or yellow under my truck. I haul hazmat, I have big enough target on my back as it is lol

Got pulled over about 24 years ago in a 88 K100 while Bobtailing from the yard to the house (5 miles) had forgot to turn the worklights off on the back of the sleeper (blue), Sheriff pulled me over and gave a warning...."NO Blue" on the front or rear because it was an Emergency color. He said as long as the trailer was attached I could let them burn so..... maybe blue up under the truck would be ok, at least for a while??
Doubt anyone does but does anyone here remember when small lights were mounted on a bracket and attached to the front axle around the top of the kingpin? Get the arch right so it lines up with the holes in the budd wheels, then use 2 or 3 small lights that can be seen through the holes, it would give somewhat of a whirling effect from the lights while rolling down the road.

In Ohio, red and blue are illegal. Most likely, you'd have to go through each states laws.

Personally, while I like them on trucks, I'd never run them. I'd rather not be noticed by the authorities as opposed to sticking out.

Truck had a 365 cummins with a 9spd, was working for H&W at the time which is now Best Specialized. Was hauling "tubs" from Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown, Pa to CSX in Raceland, KY. I don't remember everything by far, but I promise you, if I tell you I remember you can take those words to the bank!!! I'm not a BS liar like some.
