    I made a few runs to California and back to Oklahoma with another driver and was told to wait in OK City for other driver to pick me up to go to main office to pick up another truck and get paid for miles already driven ... no one ever showed up and I was left stranded with no money

    Did you miss the fact I'm trying to help you? Let me ask this way: Did he pay you for the few runs you did to California? If so did you notice if he pays on 1099 or W-2?

    Ben yes you can sue them and you don't have to be there. Just like any traffic court the attorney can represent you on your behalf. All it takes is a phone call to get the ball rolling. The only problem is you have to prove your case. He said, she said doesn't get it. If you have your logs that will suffice as evidence. The attorney will add his fees to whatever you are seeking.

    This stuff happens all the time and sorry you had to go through it. We had a woman thrown out last month in freezing temperatures in WA. The thread went over 80 pages. If nothing else many drivers read these forums and I'm sure you are doing one a favor by posting.

    I hope so because it was freezing temp for me and my dog as well and not good at all ,, this is really bad business and I hope it catches up to them some how someday my logs are hand written ,,no proof at all
    spent my last money working for them HOT SEAT driving one load to the next with only promises to be paid and now screwed with stack of bills I was to pay with money earned,

    How did you find this company in the first place? Craigslist or some other site? That will help others to steer clear as well. I dealt with a dirty company out of Kansas myself last year , I was paid but they did leave me out in bfe, so my wife had to travel 275 miles to come get me. You really have to do your homework anymore before you agree to work for someone. I wish you luck in resolving this.
