Well, I have been disqualified from Stevens and FFE for my Texas license not being valid long enough. I just recently, (August 2013), obtained my TX Drivers License. I did have a suspension from Kansas I had to take care of before Texas would issue. Basically, I hadn't owned a vehicle since 2001, when KS DL was suspended (no insurance). Since 2001, I have been ticketed on 2 (2009,2012) occasions, for speeding and expired registration while moronically driving friends' vehicles. The fact I lazily and irresponsibly did not, and could have taken care of this issue upon moving to Texas 5 years ago, (only got an ID card not fix license) may be the nail in the coffin right now. I may have to just wait a year or two in order to meet a company's requirements.
Anyone know of a company-paid cdl training program that would accept for a license issue like mine ?
Anyone know of company-paid CDL who won't disqualify 4 Drivers license issue

Usually Swift and werner will take anyone.

Talk to the unemloyment office about CDL training. Some states have programs for that.
Meantime, put in some more applications & hope for the best; try these:
JBS Carriers -(pays for Roadmaster school, then you pay them back through weekly payroll deduction)
Willis Shaw -(tuition free CDL training)
Driver Solutions
Swift
If you can get a private or community college CDL school through the state or pay yourself, then Paschall Truck Lines will probably hire you.
Yes, as BuckeyeCowboy suggested, try Werner also. -
Those are not good things for a profesional driver to do, If you plan to drive for a living you need to make sure those things are in your past and will not be in your future. Best of luck to you.DenaliDad, Moosetek13 and Starboyjim Thank this. -
(Don't know about Werner)
Swift will check you, and a lot of people are kicked out because of these types of violations. -
That is what all the truckers on here say aint it? Thry say Swift and Werner are so bad, bottom feeders that will accept anyone. So, I guess it is not true that they will take anyone. I suspected that.

Thank you folks for company and school recommendations. I will look into the options and see what I can get done. Deskdriver, you're absolutely correct and I'm building a different future.

Best thing for you is to drive VIOLATION-FREE on the same license for a couple of years. Driving a truck is a WHOLE lot different than any car or pickup andif you don't have good habits and self-discipline, you will never be hired; companies now have too much at stake with CSA.

All the companies have a lot of regulation to protect themselves and their customers, and the public, from irresponsible drivers. The companies also have a lot of concerns about liability claims from bad driving. So, no they don't take anyone. CLEAN PAPER, Citizen. If you have or get a clean Class D license, you can get a CDL Learning Permit (if you can pass a clean drug test) You can then get hired by Swift or Werner, USX, Prime, CRST (I couldn't recommend CRST) or other training companies, who will pay you during training, $450-$500/week, reimburse you for your training, about $150/month, put you in a truck, and pay you for all dispatched miles. If you get that far, you're a long way toward being a Driver. Work for the first one a year, see how it's going, and either stay or go. If you do this, you'll have the experience and skills you need to be more choosy.
