Do you have felonies? If not go elsewhere. .10 per mile, you'll be better off working at McD's.

If you do not need a second chance , try else where. There is. Place for second chance companies , but wish they would not take advantage of those who need them so.

two felonies... one for armed burglary in 2002. Its because I was with someone who stole a gun out of a car. and in 06 i got a possession of controlled substance because my passenger had cocaine in HIS pocket. I cant get my foot in the door anywhere but here and im assuming its because of my felonies. I just had twins and graduated CDL school. Its getting frustrating but working at outback isnt cutting it

Like I said there is a place for second chance companies, just wish they would not take such advantage of folks like you. Best of luck!

KLLM says i hafta go thru their review board because my most recent felony isnt over 7 years old. Im assuming thats an insurance companys decision...?
A review board is gonna see "Armed Burglary" and "possession of Cocaine" and think i was some thugged-out drug dealer, when all i can really be accused of is being an idiot for hanging out with idiots. Im not getting a chance to tell my story except to Jim at carolina

I've read some interesting posts on here in the past about Carolina Cargo & it seems like a very good company to get started with for some with a troubled past. It's a good company to prove yourself to you and your family. It's my understanding you really get the miles if you run teams. Set a goal that you will stick with them for no less than 24 months & that will prove to any future job interests that you are not a job hopper. Best wishes.

Lol. Reminds me of the three Ss.

Dont go to stupid places, with stupid people and do stupid things. Wished someone would have told me that when i was younger. Not that i wouldve payed attention, but anyhow.

Do your time and learn as much as u can. Use it as a stepping stone.

Go ahead and drive there the truck splits .20cpm with a few bonuses it'll be a little more and you will get miles and experience. orientation is just paperwork and a drug screen then they'll get you out OTR asap quick as they can team you with a driver trainer. your trainer is another story you may get a decent one or not you'll make 3 trip's with him then it'll be better if you can find a co-driver you can work with. be careful and pay attention to the equipment it is not in good shape. the shop manager is jim's brother and a real jerk when something breaks down and it will break. i have a friend that drives there he lives near their yard so it is real convenient for him he also has a regular co-driver which help's him. they run peoplenet with e-logs and navigo. get your year of experience and get outta there. when your felonies are 5 years old from the time everything was settled like probation or whatever you will be able to go elsewhere provided you can keep your DAC clean. please be very carful with their equipment my buddy says it runs good but everything else is in bad shape although a C.C. truck parked next to me about a year ago and it was a fairly new pro-star maybe they are getting some new tractor's next time i talk with my buddy i'll ask him about that, i've forgotten to ask him the last few time's we've talked..good luck & be safe
