Any opinions on Rigbooks or Rig Expense tracker ? I'm an OO , 1 truck, leased to a carrier , and I HATE paperwork.
However , I need some way to keep track of expenses.
Something that maybe works on the iPad ?

    Try "Profit Gauges" @ mygauges.com

It is extremely easy to use and can use from any computer or tablet.

I like the profit gauges also at only $19 a month and fuel gauges is free. Very easy to use and can pull reports instantly.

$228 per year compared to single purchase software that is much cheaper with few serious known bugs.

Anyone know if you can customize Quicken Home and Business with a template? Seems to be one of the best supported products in this area and if we can have an Independent O/O version that would be a bonus.

That the one I saw something about crashes , or something ? One of 'em. Not sure which. If u use fuel gauges, and make a wrong entry , can you go back and correct, or do you have to delete and start it over ? Saw something about one that you delete and start over.

I use my own Excel sheets....price was right...

I use them for all expenses and income as well as IFTA and anything else I need to keep track of.
For the macbook, (OSX) I use OpenOffice vs paying MS their obscene charges for Office.
    OpenOffice is free.

Many of these kind of sheets are available online - in fact I think someone posted them here once.....

I use the mac...been using one since 2008 and my KW is a rock solid truck - minus an air dryer issue at the moment.
I went through an audit early this year and my paperwork did the trick. I sailed through it and had no issues.

Since I didnt find any software that did what I wanted (without doing too much) I just wrote my own, with some help from a person in one of the offices I pull for. She is an excel genius....of course she quit now and fell off the face of the earth.

I use it and have modified the categories/invoices/bills to be specific for an O/O. This includes categorizing all my expenses and putting them on the appropriate tax schedules.

The more you use it and create history in it, the more powerful it becomes. You can enter your brokers, suppliers, mechanics, etc or whomever you use for both loads or what not.

I have my mechanics in there for their bills when I receive them. My baseplates and even my Small business loan are in the program. It's fully amortorized and gives me a completely accurate schedule for interest for tax purposes.

It is completely compatible with TurboTax Home & Business and because I put the work in on the front end, my taxes are going to be painless this year as well.
