I am having problems with the front brakes a 2013 630 squealing very loud. The dealer says it is caused by the new style pads required for the new stopping distance regs. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if there is a fix for it?

This is a common issue with high metallic brakes that see allot of light duty service. They do fine when they are used regularly to their braking capacity, but allot of light pressure stopping makes them squeal. The quick fix is to burnish the brakes when they start squealing. Find a place where you can get on the brakes very hard and do this a few times, allowing the brakes to cool for a period in between. The noise will stop.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I've got a 2012 780, mine do the same thing. Got 45000 miles on it and they've quieted a bit but dealer says they might have to pull the wheels and rough the pads up a bit. Doesn't diminish the braking capability but sounds like crap on a new truck. It's the size and the material they're using to comply with the new braking requirements.

We have a new 2013 that does the same thing at first it use to bug both my wife and myself but we are company drivers and it is their truck. We love to see the four wheelers looking at us in their rear veiw mirror wondering if we are going to be able to shut it down as it sounds like a bat out of hell. Plus it sounds like our truck needs major service, but oh well. It is their truck and we have tried to let them know several times "Cover Your As*".

one quation. Do you have truck with Knorr/Bendix disk brakes? AD-22?

My steer axle brakes squick like crazy. Changed them twice. I put the genuine brakes the second time. It’s ridiculous. Ok for 20k miles and after that crazy loud squick. Anything I can do about it? Any household solution?
It’s a 2015 Volvo with Gunnite/Bendix drum brakes.
Truck is quite inside, so it sounds moderate inside, but when I open the window it’s a ridiculously loud squick. People actually run away if I brake behind them thinking that I’m having some sort of brake failure.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Need a few hard stops getting them pretty hot then allow to cool.
Note: Your supposed to do this with new clutches too..... Works amazing to get a clutch to grip harderJacoooooooo Thanks this. -
Well,
Don’t want the same situation to happen again.
What is the actual right way to do that? -
Whether it's drum brakes, disc brakes or a clutch it needs to be done for them to work their best. Some will call it "Bedding" in the brakes but it's the same concept.
If your drums warped then you need new ones. There's no reason a good set of drums will warp from a few hard stops other than being worn out or garbage quality.
