I was raised on a Dairy-Ranching facility and we had a 1959 B Model Mack with a 5 X 3 and about 230 HP. At 17 I learned to drive it to
Alamosa and surrounding area from S Central NM hauling hay. We took 2 trailers up, loaded them both and pulled one home then went and got the other. Made sense to us. It was hard work but I was a big truck driver. No CB radios and no AC in those days and Greyhounds ran 90 MPH.

I was a cab & limo guy in NYC. Turns out I'm really good at driving things, but the France Family won't open a Superspeedway in the North East. So I had to give up my Winston Cup ambitions (showing my age here, lol) and find something else to drive.

I made sure my 1911 9mm smith n wesson was always loaded before starting work. I also needed to make sure i had a good hand truck before starting my bank route...one million in cash is really heavy when loading by hand...from the bank vault to the armored vehicle....the double barrel shot gun that came assigned to the truck also had to be cleaned at least once a month...picking up the federal reserve in the morning was kind of hectic and always needed extra attention...i ran a bank route with a three man crew, with 90 stops on the route all over southern california...also serviced atm's...:smt067

Still have a Real Estate sales practice. This was mostly part time & with the economy still is...
Operations Manager for commercial development specializing in grading & underground utilities. Historically the commercial side of development stays healthy in any economy. Sadly this economy has knocked the legs out from underneath. I was burnt out, so it forced me to decided to retrain and move forward in another industry.
I work part time OTR. Only out 2 weeks of the month. The wife and I are developing an Internet marketing company. I thank God for the new opportunity, fresh eyes, motivation & the passion again for an industry we can invest ourselves in.TamedCynic and 1catfish Thank this. -
