You did have some strange ones... They say it takes all kinds to make the world go around. As for training, it isn't hard, there is just alot to learn. A good trainer will teach you what the company wants you to know, and he will also tell you what you need to know to make money at this job. It is hard being away from home, and it is important to have a support system for you loved ones at home. I have good friends and family that help my wife when I am out on the road. Without them I would not be able to do what I do. Everyone always says this isn't so much a job but a lifestyle, and that is true. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    Treefork and Cheryl Thank this.

First off I would not put up with this! And If they said to deal with I would've explained they did not want me to deal with it, becuase someone would be very unhappy!

Nothing can top the 2nd trainer I had... lol Or even the 1st for that matter. They were respectful and actually tried to teach me something. lol I was so glad to have 2 great and fairly "normal" guys for training.

I agree with attitude on both sides is one of the keys of surviving the "Evils". Being female I had to work with the few trainers who were approved for training female students. I was very fortunate to have one of the best trainers. He and his wife remain very good friends to this day. After I left his truck I was put with a trainer from hell. That week I thought would never end. Just remember that you are only in his truck for a very short period of time. Many of these guys are only doing it for the additional money. Learn what you can and get assigned to your own. The truck gets small when 2 people are sharing the space smaller than some people's bathroom. You will evaluate your trainer at the end of it. Be honest with your evaluation.

I just finished day 5 of EVO2. Had a good trainer (same guy for 15 days). Never did a reset. Had some very long days. Learned a new appreciation for a hot shower. Learned alot! Yes its tough in some ones truck with them but I have been through Marine Corps Boot camp, this was a breeze compared to that. A ton of learning.

I take offense to the "normal" thing. I am not normal, I try really hard to not be normal.

Having been injured while on the Island (Parris) (I did not finish Boot, but Got my ### handed to me very well) I would have to agree with you here. Semper Fi!
Still wish I'd've rehabbed there and not taken the ticket home, but I was young and stupid... I have a very large amount of respect for our Devil Dawgs!

I guess it was not me then. I use the student's sock that falls down from the top bunk.
