I questioned their planners. I had an air leak in my passenger rear air bag. Sat 3 days at a terminal before I was told they couldn't get to my issue. Then was sent to a dealership was told they couldn't get to it for a couple of days so was put up in a hotel for the night truck was not completed the next day started calling fleet manager no response they didn't even pick up my calls which was several attempts so left stranded in Indianapolis I took an Uber home. Once back in the truck I was out for 3 weeks otr. In that 3 weeks I had two empty trailer pick up and one load to the Poconos. Was told that there was no loads. While in PA my next load was from Lebanon PA to Tennessee same day. After dropping load I had 4 ish hours left on my dot. Was being routed to north west of Scranton PA for an empty almost 2 hours out of my way from my next pick up. Asked for a closer place for an empty trailer after rejecting that trailer pick up because it would have made me late on delivery the next day drove down to a truck stop down 81 south they next empty pick up was at a place that had no Pam trailers at all so they sent me up 81 to a place right off 81 for an empty 3 hours later I had an empty. So I declined my route not having enough time to deliver went to York PA for my 34 hour reset since I had under 8 hours on the 70 hour clock. My next load was that the planners sent me was from York PA to hazelton PA for a fuel stop the an 11 am pick up in the southern part of New Jersey. Wasn't even done with my reset at this point so I questioned the planners about the fuel stop asking why is it so far away making a 7hr trip 17 hours the gave me a new fuel stop west of Harrisburg 45 away. Still wouldn't have made my pick up on time. They told me to call fuel support after mentioning that there was several possible fuel stops from Harrisburg to New Jersey was told it's a computer program that picks out the cheapest price for fuel lied to me any truck driver with loves or fly j apps gets the prices. They were trying to make me late for pick up so I received a negative mark. Sat at the flying j in Carlisle waiting for my next trip ended up getting sick so I asked for a load home. Two days later I paid for the fuel to go home after I was told they had a load that they never sent me till almost four hours of drive time. Back in south bend home. I find out I had walking pneumonia. Was called several times to clean out my truck someone was coming to pick it up. While I was sick in February. The Qualcomm still doesn't work. Paper logs. The climate control still shuts off when the trucks auto start turns on and I still have the truck after telling them to come pick it up after constant harassment from fleet management while sick that someone was coming to pick up the truck. Been trying to find a local job only to be told Pam is giving me a poor reference enough to make others not want to hire me. Then two days ago I received an email asking me if I wanted to come back to Pam and drive for them. Still getting blocked by them to work anywhere else but they want me to work for them. Drivers old and young stay away from Pam Transport.

I'm not going to crap on you. How much experience do you have? Pam is nothing more than a foot in the door much like Swift, Stevens, CR England etc. What you're describing sounds like my experience with a certain company that I won't name *cough* Vista Trans Holdings *cough* minus them altering your logs to run. Stevens Transport had me thinking that they could block me from working too but my perseverance wouldn't allow me to stop. I ended up landing in a ready mix job about five months after being let go from there. My suggestion is to look for jobs that don't care what Pam has to say. While it sounds sketchy, try Craigslist or even your own workforce website. I ended up finding many a local job like that and they couldn't give two ####s what mega carriers had to say. I've driven tankers, end dumps and dump trucks. I've even had forays in the oilfield before I decided I was hanging up my keys. Good luck and don't give up.

I was barely four months when I landed the ready mix job. Keep trying man. There are companies that only require six months. Have you tried Indeed?

As said, Pam is one of the many that hire the brand new folks. You gotta start some place and this is one place that will take you. So your options with zero experience or low experience are quite limited. Visa Dirka Dirka guys work cheap, lots of steering wheel holders available and these companies are taking a chance on people that will fold up their trucks and put them into ditches.
When you are looking for a job, search the company name in this site or elsewhere on the web before you sign up. It may help you a lot. And whoever you go with, there will be things you hate, stuff you can live with too. But it won't be your dream job, it will be where you do your best, learn and put some experience on. Make friends and set yourself up for the next better move and it will come. Try not to get into a bunch of battles over the little stuff, that will make it worse. Do the right thing, and the legal and safe thing every time and you will be OK.
And I and all of us wish you the very best. You deserve opportunities. All of your dreams should come true. You deserve that. Be safe and happy. Sorry to see you taken advantage of. When you get a job offer again, check here first.

Try another OTR company. Local jobs can be picky. If local is what you really want, do what you gotta do for OTR, then try for local again. Maybe you can work another 6 months to a year OTR and then try local. You just gotta look around and evaluate your next company with a little more detail.

Never accept sitting around waiting for repairs at a terminal where there is a shop. Every shop has a shop manager. Speak with that man. Let him what your repair issues are.

A busted air bag is serious mechanical issue and should be dealt with in a timely manner. It's ok to ask for updates on the progress of any repairs.

As you gain experience, you'll certainly appreciate a shop that is well-run. A poorly run shop takes days to fix an issue that should only require hours.

I hope it gets better for you. Keep your chin up.
