JRayl Transport | Quality Freight Services and Truck Driving Jobs

I got lucky after I got my Class A CDL in 2018, I got hired by J Rayl Transport. Their Sunnyvale, Texas terminal is literally the closest trucking company to my house (under 3 miles) and they hired new CDL holders (still do). I figured that they looked like a decent starter company and that I’d spend a year or two and move on, but six years later I’m still with them. Good folks.

Didn't any companies visit your class while you were in CDL school?

If so -- did you not like any of them?

They were there...because they were looking for more help...

Several companies sent recruiters to my school. Schnieder, McElroy, and Melton. I wanted to avoid the low pay at Schneider, and the other two are flatbed companies, which I'm not interested in...

There's really only one thing. Tarping and securing loads in 100 degree weather or below freezing.

If you are trying to skip out on "low" pay...as a novice driver....maybe you should just go for the jugular & instead put in an app over at the nearest UPS terminal?

I mean....really...why futz around with starter carriers, period? o_O

It's not so bad lol. You only sweat a little more in the heat and your balls may fall off in the cold, but you can manage lol
