I have some experience with local truck driving, but I recently quit my trucking job due to low pay/bad benefits and am looking for a new one.

I have an interview for Pepsi coming up as a geo relief cdl a driver, I've applied to Gordon foods as a regional driver, and another interview for martin brower for an entry level position. My problem is I don't know if my mvr is good enough for these positions. If not, I can always do flatbed for western express.

I have 2 moving violations on my mvr. One is from 9/2023 when I accidentally bumped into another car on an off ramp. Cop let me off with a warning, no ticket or points. Another is a ticket from 7/2024 which I fought and got reduced to a 1-5 speeding ticket, 1 point. I also have an auto restriction.

I'm sure a lot of companies want a clean mvr with nothing on it, others only allow 2 or less moving violations in 3 years.

What do you think? Am I good for these jobs, or am I screwed?

If the bumping into another vehicle resulted in no tickets or points does it even show up on your mvr? It shouldn't... if it doesn't, i wouldn't even mention it on a job app.. If it does, what does it say?

I would hate to see someone have to result to western express...

    OlegMel and cke Thank this.

OP should apply to several big companies out of his area, that he would not move to, and see if they ignore him or mention his MVR.

For the OP, the industry is slow.now. There are many inexperienced drivers getting no bites on job applications. His advantage is his experience.

It says "traffic crash" on the date, but no points.

Does the abstract show you at fault?

My mvr doesn't mention anything about who's at fault, but if it didn't show up on my mvr for driveriq, then I just won't mention it during the interviews.
