Broker asking mony or put FG report

    I got recently situation - driver stuck at his delivery for ever. Next load broker called several times and I told a true - still not empty and the situation becomes dangerous, my driver wont be able make pick up on time. Broker called me several times and said that customer will wait for us, no problem. After two hours truck wasnt empty yet so broker told me to make pick up next morning and make 800 miles straight for his delivery 11pm. I said its not possible. He said its fine I will pull you off the load. Then he send me email confirming that.
    In 10 minutes I received a call from him saying I have to pay him a loss $400 or he put FG. And if I dont want to do so he will wright FG and I will have to pay double - $800 to remove it. He hang up the phone.
    In few minutes I checked with my company and we found another team drivers truck available who can make delivery same day, I called them straight but they said that " amnager doesnt want to talk with you". They put Freightguard " no show no call" . Should I pay them money now? How it works?

    File a written complaint with the FMCSA under 49 CFR § 386.12(c). You can also call 1-800-DOT-SAFT (1-800-368-7238) for more information. The FMCSA can then issue penalties against entities found to have coerced drivers.
    The Coercion Rule is authorized by the Motor Carrier Safety Act of 1984 (MCSA) and section 32911 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21).

    You can blast reviews about their tactics as well everywhere you possibly can. Maybe even contact the attorney general of the state the broker is in.

    If they did place the FG report I would do anything to make them feel some pain.

    Man that is a dirtbag move. Not sure if you have anything in writing but if you do you can probably make life hard for them. I would definitely put a DAT post on their MC# about this as well.

    I wouldn't worry too much about a site where any little head can write whatever pleases them. Must be a site full of garbage anyway.
