Been staying busy. Yea i wasn't too thrilled to see prime pulling hoppers. Hope they just hit a small segment an don't go undercutting everyone just for the sake of getting freight. Gonna load in Minneapolis in morning an head to Indiana. Then grab something an head for home. On a sad note we lost our 10 yr old pit to cancer just over a week ago. From diagnosis to him leaving us took about 4 weeks. I was home one weekend an he was just fine. The next weekend he was sick so i took him in an it was all downhill from there. I miss him terribly. Hung his leash here in the truck.

This inconsistency is starting to get annoying lol. Reloading in Waco tomorrow morning at 0900. I'm no Stephen Hawking, but knowing Climate's lanes, I don't think deadheading a truck 180 miles from Houston to sit for a day and reload some garbage Coke load from Waco is the most profitable method of operating lol.

But hey guys, check those fuel stops and make sure you save em 7 dollars at the pump so they can turn around and offer not a penny of layover when you sit for 3 out of the last 10 days :)

Sorry, will rephrase in a less childish way lol: my average miles a week have gone down by 3-400 for the last few months. Really the last 5 or 6 besides January. The last few weeks will total out to an average of 2200 or so. It's not the end of the world, but is starting to seem like 3000+ mile weeks are not the norm anymore, sadly. Running drop and hooks and tight window appts was my biggest positive here.

I know there's lots of drivers struggling just to get paid or get 2000 miles a week, so the grass is definitely not always greener elsewhere.

Fingers crossed that it's just a string of bad luck and timing like the trailer debacle I had the first few months here lmao

Awwww man, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. That's tough to hear. That was no time from diagnosis. You definitely have his soul riding with you.

I was near Sauer when I first saw the Prime hopper. I hope they don't cut rates either. I always feel like it'd be good for the industry if some of the largest companies downsized.

Where did they have you got from Waco? I definitely had some of those inconsistencies after returning to work last year. This freight market is a wonky one for real. Everyone is feeling the pinch. Anyway they can save fleet wide dollars, they're gonna get anal for real. They are using different stops than normal for certain loads, like I'm about to head back to Edwardsville from Palmyra, and usually it would be Pontoon Beach, but for this run, they've got me using Effingham. They've given me Effingham before, but on other runs. Then other times I just get the city, but not the particular stop. They'll just say either is fine.

I noticed the same thing as well. I haven't gotten a Pontoon Beach or Joplin fuel stop in a long time. On the Colorado runs, I just get 'Salina' half the time. I like when they do cause I prefer that Flying J.

I've calmed down now lol. Only 180 miles to Waco, but was storming bad in H Town, so every road within a 50 mile radius was half flooded lol. Needed a washout too since this trailer got loaded filthy, so really will only be about a half day lost. I like finding the small town, mom and pop washouts when its out of network and has to be reimbursed anyways. Way better service than the beacon. Delivers to Wright City as well, so should be an ASAP drop and hook and hopefully a nice little reload for half of Saturday and Sunday.

Can anyone tell me right quick if we can park at United Produce overnight? I'll get there somewhere around 1630. If not I'll stay in Warrenton.

If you're talking about the United Produce there in St. Louis, where they charge you 40 bucks for entry, I believe that you can. Otherwise, there's plenty of room on the street there for trucks to park, provided there aren't any dropped trailers.

Made it from Waco to Eldon, MO last night. The little truck stop here is easily one of my favorites. Food is super good for what it is and it's mostly Missouri locals parked for the weekend, so it's almost silent at night. About to head to Wright City and hope I get live unloaded early before I go camp out in Warrenton til Monday morning. Decent place to be starting out on a Monday. Either Coke or deadheading to Union for Silgan if I had to guess on Monday.
