I've gotten in trouble with my views on this, there was a time, MY time, when felons, or ANY criminal history was simply not considered for hire. I considered it part of the punishment once the legal obligations were over, we kept our noses clean to insure that didn't hinder getting hired. Doesn't work that way anymore, and companies are hiring felons, except, I read, they are picky. For example, drug convictions, the #1 committed felony, are being considered, but things like domestic abuse, or bank robbery, are still not tolerated. Your biggest obstacle will be insurance. Insurance companies rule the roost, and what they say, goes. I'm sorry to say, it doesn't look good, and research before going to school should have come 1st.

If you’re interested in flatbed, White Mountain Trucking in Laveen, AZ (Phoenix) might be a solution.
When I worked there (2019-2021) they had several drivers with felony records, mostly drug convictions.
The people that own the company were good to work for. I enjoyed my time there.

 

If the suggestions above workout and you do get hired on take it as providence and return the karma by becoming upstanding law abiding citizens. The trucker image is bad enough, don't compound it.
