Well, be prepared to work your tail off.
McClain does mostly inside deliveries to McDonald's and whatnot.
I guess it's ok if you're young and willing. Personally, at 62, there's no wayEarly Bird Thanks this. -

But it's work intensive.
You'll probably do nearly $100k, but you'll earn every dime.
If you're young and fit, it might be a good start.
Good luckbzinger and Early Bird Thank this. -
I can tell you from experience there's no better experience than working hard, very hard, and getting paid well for it. It builds character. Normally what people are used to is doing hard labor and being paid rice and beans. But when you get paid well for it, it's a different experience entirely.Early Bird Thanks this. -
A former supervisor of a facility I deliver to is now a shuttle driver at that location. I have no idea what kind of money he makes doing that.
The cousin of a co-worker runs a route for them. My co-worker says his cousin enjoys the work...and the money.bzinger, Early Bird and Vic Firth Thank this. -
Some gas station "C" stores can get a little dicey trying to back into.

It will test your skills and patience like no other job but you'll get real good at getting that truck into places you probably would have doubted before.
Some stores are ignorant. Won't let prop the door open and treat you like trash or expect you to so their jobs for them like stocking the shelves etc etc. Patrons will let the door slam in your face and will rarely hold it open for you.
Depends on the area too I guess. Some areas have more considerate people while others are full the Me, Me, Me and More Me crowd. The physical work is they only real positive part to it as long as the pay is there. Make sure to take care of yourself though. You only have one spine and the discs between its vertebrae. Don’t get hurt and ruin your life for any job/employer.bzinger, SoulScream84 and Early Bird Thank this.
