like a hundred years ago I drove an International Acco (Aussie only truck) with a 5 speed non-synchromesh (crash) gearbox with a 3 speed 'joey' (auxiliary) box, so 2 gear levers, it was a cab over so had to reach through the steering wheel to change the 2nd gear lever - ahhh, the good old days (late 1970's)

right now, due to COVID restrictions, difficult.

Our international borders are opening up late February so things might improve.

Truck drivers are in short supply, mostly due to many of them having COVID and having to isolate. But even then, the industry struggles. A manager of one of our local company's told me last year that their average truck driver age was 62, no new people coming into the industry except for Indians

Good luck. I have no idea what the licencing arrangments are for international drivers. Contact one of the big company's the will probably give you guidance. Try Linfox, Toll or Ron Finemore Transport - they are pretty big National companies. My preference to you would be Finemores

There is a story on a MS farmer comparable to your take on driving vs remodeling. I will try to condense it and post.

    We have fuel MPG update!!!!!

Due to 400+ miles of WTF wind, because the indigenous wind patterns have forever been altered because of wind turbines, we are 7.6 for this trip.
