Post several pics of the truck, the license numbers of it and the trailer, and any other information you have.

Can't you ring the authorities and say you are concerned for the safety of your driver ?

Actually, the driver was kidnapped by a rogue self-driving truck... which wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas.

Being in SoCal and recovering big rigs for the past few months, I will guess the driver parked it and took the 4th off, probably ventured into TJ, hopefully minded his p and q's.
If not he is sitting in a TJ Jail with hundreds of other US Citizens waiting for the Consulate, which could take hours, or days, depending on how many they have to work through, and the amount of $$$ he has on him.
Another possibility, everything in the way of repairs was closed yesterday, except the overpriced mobile guys down there, and they didn't reopen until today. Call Freightliner in an hour and see if he has arrived.
The final possibility, which I have seen before, confirmed by a pinger, it is in TJ and headed south east. The cartels will take them, usually refer or dry van, load them up, run them into the ground, then drop it off at the Juarez crossing with the Federales, who will have it pushed to the US side as they know it is stolen.
Rarely do they push them back in Otay or Nogales.
You can call the CHP San Diego Office.
