Great company to work for, for the most part. Your schedule usually goes as follows, leave yard with empty trailer usually any time of day as long as you can get to farm and back to yard on time. Sometimes you have to do a 10 at farm to make this happen. Loading starts when it gets dark, so it can be 5pm in winter all the way to 10pm start time in summer. There have been times where I didn't get loaded until 5 am, and had to drive 4 hours to the yard, just to "drop and hook" going to another farm 4+hours out. Yeah it doesn't seem bad, but after a while, the lack of a consistent sleep schedule will get to you. Under no circumstances are you to stop and nap with the chickens on the trailer. Miles are very inconsistent, however there is a minimum 400 mile guarantee. Meaning, if yhe farm is only 125 miles, you'll get paid for 400 miles. Given that, you are at minimum guaranteed 4 days pay with 1600 miles and at most 2000 if working 5 days. At the moment it's super slow, so we are lucky to get 4 days. Pay is .73cpm. Luisville, Ga has Internationals while Mossell, MS has Frieghtliners. Trucks go 70 cruise and 67 peddle. APU that doesn't always work and cant keep up in the summer, forcing you to idle trucks. They take cabnet out if you want, so you can put in a bigger fridge, most drivers do this. Mechanic shop is extremely over worked with just 1 mechanic and 1 manager. For just the two of them, they do a great job since trucks run fairly well. Company caters to lazy drivers and takes loads from good drivers for the sake of "fairness". All in all, it's a great paying company for the job that we do, most of the frustration comes from the inconsistent sleep schedule and whether you get the good and fast catch crew or slow and lazy catch crew.

Pros

Pay for work you do. Free health insurance after 1 year. Great newer running trucks Small business feel Home time every weekend and sometimes it can be a few extra days during the week.

Cons

Inconsistent miles Inconsistent sleep schedule Slow catch crew at times Weird route planning as far as leave out time goes. You will be overweight a lot of times (over 82-87k lbs) Bad communication from Disbatch.
