They will at least try to book trip to south. It is not because there is nothing around. It is because even if underpaid are $1000 over. All they care is 30 %. You personally, they know one goes one come. Mistakes in the pay checks , if you have issues on your run the dispatcher ( my is a female ) will tell you flat out contact the broker. So , why do I have to pay 30% if info your job too?

Pros

You chose your home time

Cons

You will loose truck , home , credit ,with this ppl Stay away. It’s not what Evans used to be

been with west since 2001 and i am sorry to say that it's time to move on after looking over their new lease for 2014. i can say they were once a great company to lease to but not anymore.

for one they are going to charge 12.00 a week to do your ifta which they never did.the 2014 lease will be for one year only, and then they will have the option to change the lease on a month by month basis.startin in 2014 you will have only 60 days from invoice date to contest a freight charge. workers comp is going to be an issue.acc.charges have always been an issue with me,when you unload a trailer at customer they get 25% of fee,you do the work and they get a cut.there was an ad in movin out mag where it stated extra pay for w/e work, when i asked about it(as i work weekends) their response was that was untrue.i'm still waiting for detention on a load from 4 months ago.they used to pay a lil extra if you deadheaded more than 100 miles, not anymore.this is supposed to be a non forced dispatch company but if you turn down to many loads they will not dispatch you.when it came to loads to haul they used to offer you from a list of what they had,not anymore they just tell you your next load.i could go on an on

Orientation at West was fantastic. I arrived at 9:00am at the West Terminal. At that time I was warmly greeted by Cheryl and we started doing the paperwork. The whole atmosphere was very laid back and everyone was very friendly. I then went and took the road test which I passed. After the road test there was a little more paperwork, then, Cheryl took me on a tour and to meet my dispatcher. I was assigned a truck and on my way back to the house at 12:00 pm. The most impressive thing is that Cheryl really cares. She asked me to stay in touch to make sure everything I was promised is being delivered on. The other thing I like is the small company family feel. They only hire what they need, unlike the Mega's that just hire and hire and hire. I will keep everyone posted.
