I just passed 5 years here. I have worked for 5 companies over the passed 30 years, by far Watsontown has been the best. Wish I'd found years ago. I leave out around 5am on Monday, and home around 2pm on Friday. And still make an average of 75000.00 per year. You are never rushed, and safety is number 1

I was with Watsontown about 4.5 years great company equipment never had a problem with any dispatchers or maintnence. Treated the employees with respect when my mom was in the hospital I was at the hospital every day til she passed the company was very supportive.

Applied as a part time driver to work around my fiancé's schedule. Did the orientation and passed what they expected me to do. On my way home excited to start in the next 2 days and I got a phone called from safety saying I need a doctors note just because I have a bit of motor ticks (form of turrets). I told him that I gave my medical long form to the HR person that stated about my condition and says it won't affect my driving. Well he said it wasn't good enough and needed a doc note. Total discrimination because if DOT said I was allowed to drive, I allowed to drive. Even after 8 years of accident free clean MVR and CSA.

Pros

Not sure because I wasn't allowed to start

Cons

One safety guy needs to learn the rules before discriminating a perfectly good driver.

I worked at Watsontown for about a year. There were a few things I didn't like, but overall it wasn't bad. First thing I can think of is the forced spyware they made me put on my phone. It is supposed to prevent me from being able to use the phone while driving, but it sends an obscene amount of personal data to a remote server. I want to be treated like an adult, not micromanaged. Besides that, it was not bad. The pay was per hour. I didn't have to worry about what would happen if I have to wait to get loaded. Funny thing is when a company pays you by something besides mileage, they try to keep you moving. I made decent money. Honestly, I'd go back if I can get a place to park near here and even put up with the spyware on the phone. The truck was decent and decently maintained. Problems got fixed without too much hassle. The truck I was in had a fridge. That was nice and I kept it stocked with cold drinks.

Pros

Hourly pay Weekends home

Cons

Spyware on phone

I have been with Watsontown trucking for over 10 years now this is a great place to work. Yes you need to jump loads of Windows and aluminum so if all you want to do is drive then do not apply here I'm treated VERY well and my home time is outstanding

Stay away from Watsontown they promise $19hr for all hours. The equipment is junk! Abs light on shop says drive it don't worry about the light samething with check engine light and SRS light! They run you to your 14hrs are up and make you take your 10hrs off at the customers location or on the side of the road. Bring a cooler with food cause you will need it! Forget about showering when you call safety nobody wants to hear about it. dispatchers treat you like ####! Tell them you wanna go home for the weekend they will tell you its not there problem they have loads that need to be delivered refuse any load the dispatcher will fire you! The are total liars once they get you onboard you will be humping MI Windows and doors all day driver unload and no time in between stops till your 14hrs run out then take your 10hr off in some parking lot forget about safety. The trucks all have cameras facing forward and the driver and they monitor them quite often almost seems illegal I guess they don't trust the drivers! Anyway I can go on all day about them. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Forward and driver facing camera with audio! Drivers were putting the sun visors down to block the camera and were told if they did it again they would remove the sun visors because they aren't required by law. They were complaining about talking on your cell phone even though we have blue tooth headsets.
