The equipment well I was told the truck had a refrigerator freezer sink with running water a 2022 Freightliner the refrigerator never worked the sink never worked we had to get the truck jumped twice at a customer because we turned it off and it wouldn't start the box on both sides in the front of the box or damaged they had foam in the way inside the truck box so the customers couldn't see the daylight in the corners the fleet owner never made an attempt to repair any of these things the Apu when you started it stunk really bad don't leave your windows open home .The home time I can't say a whole lot I wasn't in the truck that long the fleet owner asked me if I would be willing to run teams I've course told her I would give it a try but it's rarely you get two people from different households that can run together that wasn't working out so I told the fleet owner she tried smoothing everything over saying everything will be okay she'll get things fixed never did any of that.... Don't be honest with them like I was told the fleet owner that I actually talked to the guy in recruiting no names and ask him if he had another flight owner that had a solo truck cuz that's what I applied for or maybe a company truck if there was one available... Again she tried to smooth things over the following Monday we're in Connecticut and I called to talk to recruiting and lady answered the phone and I told her what I'd talk to the other recruiter about.... She must have immediately called the fleet owner and told her I was calling again checking on a solo truck..
I guess what I said must have made her believe that I wanted to tell dispatch to get us a truck running back to the office so I can get out of that truck not quite what I said but whatever.... At any rate the fleet owner called me and she was a little upset and I told her well I've been honest with you and yes I want to get a solo truck you don't have one available for another month and a half so I can go to work driving a company truck or for one of their fleet owners should be no big deal.... She then requested that I get all my stuff out of her truck and find my own way home from Hartford Connecticut..... My first check was 180 that was for one run my second check was for $534 that was for three runs she never sent me my third check or my fourth check she won't answer the phone recruiting won't talk to me in fact nobody at Tri-State will talk to me I even talked to the president and he said he does not get involved with anything between drivers and fleet owners I applied at Tri-State for driving a truck solo they put me with the fleet owner the application was a Tri-State orientation was with Tri-State the truck I was getting in said Tri-State what part of that says that they don't have anything to do with fleet owners... They have still not paid me the rate is $1.25 per mile you get none of the fuel surcharge you get 40% of that if you're running a team you only get half of the 40% if you have somebody that they call with the loads that accept solo loads you're not going to make very much money... We had one load that actually paid $1,370 for 743 mi but we had the deadhead 250 mi and wait a day to pick it up.... Our next load was picking up in Rogers Arkansas we were in oak Grove Missouri 250 miles away deadhead the load is only going 743 miles to Lakewood Colorado this is a Friday memorial Day weekend we couldn't deliver it to a Walmart supercenter until Tuesday morning they don't pay layover so we set for 3 days is the second time in two and a half weeks that we had set three or four days as a team.... On my last run that I went we drove 300 miles deadhead to pick up down in Cincinnati area and it was going up near Hartford Connecticut this is also on a Friday Saturday morning we couldn't deliver till Monday cuz 943 miles a solo driver could have done that too that's where the lady asked me to get all my stuff out of her truck and find my own way home from Hartford Connecticut so I did just that and then I'm told that I abandoned the truck the owner told me to get my stuff and get out of her truck that's not abandoning a truck you want to call it getting fired that's fine did I do anything no except for talk to recruiting about getting a job with one of the other fleet owners in a Solo truck...
Pros
There are no pros to this company they're worse than FedEx or panther in my opinion
Cons
Make sure you get paid for all your loads before you tell them you quit
